What is Mohyla?

Mohyla Institute is a non-profit student residence located
at 1240 Temperance Street, just a few blocks from the University of Saskatchewan campus. Ukrainian Museum

Located in the heart of Saskatoon, the Ukrainian Museum of Canada connects people to the rich heritage, culture, and histories of Ukrainians in Canada, Ukraine, and the greater diaspora. As the oldest and largest Ukrainian museum in North America, we celebrate tradition while embracing the future—with contemporary exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and a vibrant gift shop.

Today, the museum serves as both a research centre and a community hub, offering exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and cultural programs that explore Ukrainian history, immigration, and contemporary culture. It is the headquarters of a national network of Ukrainian museums across Canada.

The federation's mission is to strengthen the capacity of Saskatoon's Ukrainian community to preserve, develop, and share its Ukrainian identity, culture, and aspirations. It supports local organizations and individuals in celebrating their heritage while ensuring that Ukrainian traditions and values continue to thrive for future generations.
